Benefits of recycling your pre-loved clothes

How ethical do you think your fashion choices are? Is this something you have actually given some thought to?

Here at Recycled Clothing Banks, we are incredibly proud to be supporting schools, charities, community groups, local authorities and businesses with textile recycling initiatives that help generate additional funds for great causes. We are very passionate about recycling unwanted clothes, paired shoes/trainers and household textiles to help reduce environmental damage and minimise landfill use.

If saving the world isn’t a good enough reason to be making more of an effort to recycle our clothing, then what is? The positive benefits of collectively recycling our pre-loved clothes on the environment are immense – we just have to pull together globally, as a big worldwide team, and we can make a difference.recycling your pre-loved clothes

Make it worthwhile

Once, you have cleared out your wardrobe and drawers, the next thing to do is find a worthy charitable or community focussed textiles bin in which to place your pre-loved clothing. This makes such a big difference, especially to your local organisations. And, after you have done that, you may choose to start thinking more ethically about your clothing choices. That’s why our friendly team at Recycled Clothing Banks have put a little list together of some of the most ethical fashion houses around for you to take a Google at. We are passionate about recycling unwanted clothes and reducing environmental damage by minimising landfill – perhaps you could be too?

Recycling pre-loved clothes with our textile bins

If your area doesn’t have any textiles recycling bins and you would like to add one to support your local charity or community project, we are happy to help. We specialise in installing free branded textile recycling bins in public and commercial areas encouraging communities to donate pre-loved clothes, shoes and household textiles as a way to generate additional funds of £400 based on every tonne of textiles we collect. Not only do you get to save the planet one item of clothing at a time, but you can also even raise funds from it.

Partner with us in recycling pre-loved clothes

We are now looking to partner with more local councils, educational settings, hospitality outlets, places of worship, national and local charities, retail parks, health clubs and commercial businesses in the hope that more support for local community groups can be raised as well as much-needed funds. So, if this sounds like something you’d like to explore in more detail, we’d be happy to discuss this further with you.

Contact one of our friendly team today and find out more about installing a textiles recycling bin near you.
